1. From inside the chassis, pivot the upper retaining clip
sensor downward and then push the clip outward. Then disengage the plastic holder holding the
thermal sensor from the chassis.

2. Pull the entire thermal sensor out of the chassis.
1. Insert the connector and cable of the new thermal sensor into the lower hole
align the two tabs on the plastic holder holding the thermal sensor with the two holes
chassis, and push the plastic holder until it snaps into position.

2. Reconnect the thermal sensor cable to the system board. See "Parts on the system board" on page 34.
3. Reinstall the system fan assembly. See "Replacing the system fan assembly" on page 89.
4. Reinstall the front audio and USB assembly. See "Replacing the front audio and USB assembly"
on page 88.
5. Reinstall the card reader. See "Replacing the card reader" on page 86.
6. Reinstall the storage drive. See "Replacing the storage drive" on page 85.
7. Reinstall the optical drive. See "Replacing the optical drive" on page 83.
8. Reinstall the front bezel. See "Replacing the front bezel" on page 82.
