8. Stick the front antenna to the front panel as shown. Then insert the front antenna cable through the
hole in the front panel.

9. Connect the front antenna cable to the Wi-Fi card module.

Replacing the rear Wi-Fi antenna
To replace the rear Wi-Fi antenna, do the following:
1. Remove any media from the drives and turn off all connected devices and the computer. Then,
disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets and disconnect all cables that are connected to the
computer.
2. Remove the computer cover. See "Removing the computer cover" on page 82.
3. Locate the rear Wi-Fi antenna. See "Computer components" on page 31.
4. Straighten the rear Wi-Fi antenna so that it can be more easily twisted.
5. Hold the thicker end of the rear Wi-Fi antenna and unscrew the Wi-Fi antenna from the rear of the
computer.

6. Screw the new rear Wi-Fi antenna to the rear Wi-Fi antenna connector attached on the rear of the
computer.
7. Adjust the angle of the rear antenna to lower the risk of breaking the antenna by accident.
