Recording Motion Picture

You can record motion pictures in high-definition format compliant with the AVCHD
standard or in Motion JPEG format. Sound is recorded in mono.
The functions available when recording motion pictures differ according to the lens you are
using, and
the operational sound of the zoom may be recorded
Refer to page 15 for details.

Set the focus mode.
Focusing changes depending on the focus mode setting and the [CONTINUOUS AF]
setting (P103) in the [MOTION PICTURE] mode menu.

The camera will set the most appropriate settings to
match the subject and the recording conditions, so you
can leave the settings to the camera and take motion
pictures easily.
Record motion pictures by automatically setting aperture
and shutter speed.
You can record motion pictures with changed Exposure
Compensation and aperture settings.
Record motion pictures with selected custom mode
settings.
Record motion pictures that match the scene being
recorded. (P89 to 94)
Record motion pictures in My Colour Mode setting.

Settings
You can have the camera focus
continuously. Alternatively, you can
have the camera focus when you
press the shutter button halfway.
You can have the camera focus when
the shutter button is pressed halfway.
