Configuration after installing

Depending on the type of card installed, you need to use a utility, such as the BIOS setup utility, a setup
utility provided with the card, following installation to modify server settings.
Follow the instructions in the manual provided with the card to specify the correct settings.
After turning the server power on, the PCI bus numbers are scanned in ascending order. If the option ROM
installed in the card contains a BIOS utility, the startup message (banner) is displayed in ascending order of
the PCI bus numbers.

Removal

Remove a PCI card connected to a PCI slot by using the following procedure.
1.
See Chapter 2 (1.2 Overview of Installation and Removal) for preparations.
2.
To remove the side cover, see Chapter 2 (1.3 Removing the Side Cover).
3.
See installation step 4 in Chapter 2 (1.9.3 Installation) to open the PCI slot retention.
4.
Remove the card.
5.
Attach the blank cover, and see installation step 7 in Chapter 2 (1.9.3 Installation) to close the PCI slot
retention.
6.
Assemble the server.
7.
Turn on the server and confirm that no error messages are displayed in POST.
If an error message is displayed, take notes on the message and ask your sales representative.
