To check for the correct COM port number, go to Start  Control Panel - System Hardware  Device manager. Then you can find correct COM number from “USB Serial Port” under option “Connection Port (COM and LPT)”.

You need to create a folder on desktop, say HT_580 and save FORMCACHING setting as Option1.form if you have entered 8 fields, Option2.form if you have entered 5 fields and Option 3 if you have entered 2 fields.

You can download uTransfer from http://us.ute.com/products_info.php?rbu=5&pc1=48&pc2=72&pid=275 After downloading is completed try to open up the uTransfer.
  • Page 14 Change Saved Location to the folder you have created on desktop and change Saved File Name with the extension. Note: Save File Name should be changed every time you want to transfer data from HT 580 and extension should be changed to .txt from .DAT.

Limitation: If you select different Separator other than one entered in HT580 you will get an error message or/else data will not be inserted or updated properly.
