The LEDs for the SFP slots are located between the slots, as shown in
Figure 11. Each SFP slot has one LED. The left-hand LED is for the top
slot and the right-hand LED is for the bottom slot.

Slots S1 and S2 are stacking slots for the VCStack feature. You can use
the slots to build a virtual switch of up to four switches. For background
information, refer to Chapter 2, "Virtual Chassis Stacking" on page 47.
Table 10 on page 41 defines the LED states when the slots contain
stacking transceivers.

Description
The slot is empty, the SFP transceiver
has not established a link to a network
device, or the LEDs are turned off. To turn
on the LEDs, use the eco-friendly button.
The SFP transceiver has established a
100 or 1000 Mbps link to a network
device.
The SFP transceiver is receiving or
transmitting packets to a network device.
