Demand is a measure of average power consumption over a fixed time interval.
Peak (or maximum) demand is the highest demand level recorded over the billing
period. Two methods of measuring demand are with Thermal Demand modules
and Sliding Window Demand modules. These modules are configured to calculate
the average current demand and kW, kVAR and kVA demand. The setup registers
in the demand modules define time intervals for demand calculations, setting the
sensitivity of the module's operation.

Use ION software to change your meter's demand settings.
Using the Front Panel
1.
Press and hold the Alt/Enter button for a few seconds to access the Setup
Menu.
2.
Scroll using the Up or Down arrow buttons to select Demand Setup. Press the
Alt/Enter button to access Demand Setup parameters.
3.
Scroll to the desired parameters using the Up or Down arrow buttons. Press the
Alt/Enter button to access each parameter.
Use the Up or Down buttons to edit the value of each parameter.

OTE
You may be prompted for the meter's password the first time you attempt to change any values.

Select Yes to confirm the change.
Using ION Setup
The Demand Setup Assistant helps you configure Sliding Window Demand only.
This screen also contains two registers used for configuring Sliding Window
Demand while the meter is in TEST Mode.
1.
Open ION Setup and connect to your meter, using Basic Mode.
2.
In the Setup Assistant, navigate to the Demand folder.
