4.3 "Heat Pump" Switch

The heat pump is ready for operation when the "heat pump"
switch is in the "On" position. If the hot water temperature in the
cylinder drops below the set value, the heat pump will be acti-
vated until the desired hot water temperature has been reached.
If the pump switch is in the "Off" position, the heat pump is not op-
erational. However, the hot water temperature controller is still
active and capable of controlling, for example, the load pump of
another heat generator via the "heat exchanger" relay output.
The "heat exchanger" switch must be in the "On" position to carry
out this operation.

4.4 "Heating Element" Switch

If more hot water is needed or if a higher water temperature
(> 60 ±2 °C) is desired, the "heating element" switch can be used
to switch the integrated 1.5 kW radiator on.
If the "heating element" switch is in the "On" position, the approx.
upper third of the cylinder will be heated up to the maximum tem-
perature of the heating element controller (factory setting 65 °C).
In contrast to heat pump only operation, a smaller amount of
water is heated up to minimise the operating period of the heat-
ing element.
Note → Heating element controller
The heating element controller is a second control unit for con-
trolling the operating range of the electric heating element, which
is completely independent of the hot water controller. The factory
setting for the switch-off temperature is 65 °C. The heating ele-
ment controller is combined with the safety temperature limiter
(see illustration).
If another temperature setpoint is required, ensure that the con-
troller can only be accessed from above after removal of the front
panel (see illustration). This must be done by qualified personnel
only. Disconnect the power supply before opening the device!

4.5 "Heat Exchanger" Switch

Heat exchanger operation is to be used if DHW preparation is to
be executed with a second heat generator (e.g. by means of a
boiler or solar installation). The standard relay contact can be
used to load the hot water cylinder via the integrated tube heat
exchanger, e.g. by means of pump or valve control.
The hot water temperature is controlled by the temperature con-
troller of the compact domestic ventilation unit (exhaust air).
The electrical connection terminal for controlling (ON/OFF) the
external auxiliary devices (pump, solenoid valve, etc.) is located
on the control room panel.
This function is activated via the "heat exchanger" switch.
In addition, a vertical sensor pipe (∅
cylinder at the rear of the compact domestic ventilation unit (ex-
haust air) that houses an external temperature sensor (accessi-
ble via the space for the electrical connections). There is a cable
feedthrough at the rear of the device.

4.6 Remote Control

The wall-mounted remote control (illustration) can be used to
switch the compact domestic ventilation unit (exhaust air) on/off
and to select one of the three fan levels.
