ATTENTION!
Work on the compact domestic ventilation unit (exhaust air) may only be
performed by qualified personnel. Observe accident prevention
regulations!

8.1 Hot Water System

Hot water system requirements
DIN 1988 and the regulations of the local water utilities must be
observed.
The following materials could be used in the
consumer's hot water system:
Copper
Stainless steel
Brass
Plastic
Depending on the materials used in the hot water system (cus-
tomer installation), material incompatibility may lead to corrosion
damage.
This especially applies to zinc-plated materials and materials
containing aluminium.
If there is a risk of water contamination during operation, it may
be necessary to install a filter.
Hot water system start-up
Fill the hot water system via an external connection.
De-aerate the hot water system (open hot water taps at the
highest extraction points until there are no more traces of
air).
Check the entire hot water system for leaks.
Apply the supply voltage.
Note: Operate the "heating element" switch (lamp lights up)
to check if the supply voltage is applied.
Switch on the "heat pump" switch.
Note: After transporting the device in a tilted position, a rest
period (of approx. one hour) must be observed before
switching on the device.
The desired hot water temperature is infinitely adjustable up
to 60 °C via the temperature control button. If hot water con-
sumption is high, the heating element switches on manually.
Operate the "heat exchanger" switch to activate a request
for hot water preparation via a second heat generator (if
available).

8.2 Refrigerant Circuit

The compact domestic ventilation unit (exhaust air) is ready for
operation. No work must be carried out on the refrigerant circuit.
The temperature controller automatically switches on the heat
pump and regulates the hot water temperature.

8.3 Ventilation System

The air volume in the ventilation duct system (exhaust air valves)
is adjusted according to the design of the system.
The total air volume is the sum of the air volumes from all ex-
haust air rooms. This total air volume must be set on the compact
domestic ventilation unit (exhaust air). The basic setting of the
compact domestic ventilation unit (exhaust air) is 120 m³/h for
fan level I, 185 m³/h for fan level II and 230 m³/h for fan level III.
If a different total air volume is required, a technician can adjust
the basic setting per fan level on the integrated ventilator power
supply unit.
ATTENTION!
The minimum air volume of 120 m³/h must never be undershot and the
maximum air volume of 230 m³/h must never be exceeded.
The basic settings of the fan levels are adjusted using a DIP
switch in the electronic system of the fan (see illustration).
The fan levels result from the following DIP switch settings:
