Important Information!
Circulation pipe
For energy efficiency reasons, a circulation pipe should not
be used.
If a circulation pipe is installed in the hot water distribution
system, a valve or a similar device must be provided as
shut-off facility to avoid unnecessary energy losses. Circula-
tion is enabled according to use (time or requirement con-
trol).
Condensate outflow:
Please refer to the Chapter 7.2 "Connecting the Condensed
Water Pipe".

3.3 Safety Features

The compact domestic ventilation unit (exhaust air) has the fol-
lowing safety features:
High-pressure switch (HP)
The high-pressure switch protects the heat pump against imper-
missibly high operating pressure in the refrigerant circuit. In the
event of a fault, the pressure switch will switch the heat pump off.
The heat pump restarts automatically as soon as the pressure
once again drops in the refrigerant circuit.
Safety temperature limiter for heating element
(STL)
The STL protects the hot water installation against impermissible
temperature increases.
It is mounted on the control room panel and the corresponding
sensor is located in the dip pipe of the heating element.
The heating element switches off whenever the set switching
value (99 °C) is exceeded.
The heating element cannot be switched on again until the hot
water temperature has decreased to ≤ 90 °C and the reset but-
ton (illustration) on the STL is then pressed.
Important Information!
The safety temperature limiter can only be accessed after
the control panel has been demounted. This must be done
by qualified personnel only. Disconnect the power supply
before opening the device!

4.2 Hot Water Temperature
Controller
The rotary knob is used to set the desired hot water temperature.
If the cylinder temperature is lower than the set hot water temper-
ature, the heat pump is switched on (if the "heat pump" switch is
ON). The maximum hot water temperature that can be attained
with the heat pump is 60 °C.
The standard heating element can be used if higher tempera-
tures are required (see the Section 4.4 "Heating Element"
Switch).
Notes on economical use of energy
To achieve a high COP with the integrated heat pump while
cutting water level losses, the compact domestic ventilation
unit (exhaust air) should normally not be operated at a hot
water temperature higher than 45 °C (illustration).
Only set the temperature controller to higher values or man-
ually switch on the heating element in exceptional circum-
stances according to need.
To ensure optimum compressor operating times and down-
times, it is important to avoid repeatedly manually switching
the heat pump off and on!
