Installation

7.1 Connecting the Water Pipes

The nominal pipe widths for the on-site installation must be deter-
mined by taking into account the available water pressure and
any pressure drops expected to occur in the pipework.
The water pipes must be installed according to DIN 1988; also
observe local regulations for domestic water installations!
Both rigid and flexible water pipes may be used. Observe the cor-
rosion behaviour of the pipework materials to avoid corrosion
damage (see the Chapter 8 "Start-Up").
NOTE
Hot water, cold water and circulation connections:
These pipe nipples contain plastic inserts which serve to protect against
corrosion (in particular to the pipe nipple flange surfaces). These plastic
inserts remain in their positions after the water pipes have been installed.
ATTENTION!
When installing the on-site pipework, ensure that the pipes are not
contaminated (flush pipes before connecting the compact domestic
ventilation unit (exhaust air)!
7.2 Connecting the Condensed
Water Pipe
The condensed water hose is routed through the rear panel of
the device. It should be routed so that the condensate produced
during heat pump operation can drain freely. The pump is
shipped with the condensed water hose routed through the
upper section of the rear panel so that it can be used for water
outlets located higher up. If it is routed in this manner, ensure that
a minimum height difference of 260 mm is maintained between
the outlet opening of the condensed water hose (on the device)
and the end of the condensed water hose (e.g. in a siphon).
There is a pressureless seal valve at the end of the condensed
water hose which must be relocated if the condensed water hose
is shortened (the valve can be easily removed and relocated on
the hose).

7.3 Electrotechnical Connection

ATTENTION!
Only operate the compact domestic ventilation unit (exhaust air) when
filled with water!
ATTENTION!
All connections must be established with the power supply
disconnected!
The compact domestic ventilation unit (exhaust air) is wired
ready for use; the following external connections have to be es-
tablished according to the circuit diagram (illustration):
