Map/GPS

GPS is a function to retrieve location information
of the FOMA terminal by receiving radio wave
from GPS satellites.
You cannot use the FOMA terminal as
navigation system for professional use of
aircrafts, vehicles, person, etc. or surveying
GPS of high accuracy. Note that DOCOMO shall
not be liable for the pure economic loss caused
by using for these purposes or other purposes
such as you cannot confirm the positioning
(communication) result with the FOMA terminal
failure, malfunction or external factors such as
power failure (including battery exhaustion).
GPS is the service administered by Department
of Defense of USA, therefore, GPS radio wave
condition may be controlled (accuracy
degradation, radio wave abort, etc.) for the US
national security reason. In addition, the same
results may not be retrieved even when
positioned in the same location and
environment, since the radio wave condition
differs depending on the location of satellites.
For the use of location provision or location
notification, check the information of a GPS
service provider and DOCOMO website.
Charges may be incurred for these functions.
GPS function is not available except for
positioning the present location when the FOMA
terminal is outside the service area.
Using map
You can activate GPS compatible i-appli and view
the present location or specified location.

GPS compatible i-appli is activated after
positioning the present location.

Using navigation

Activate GPS compatible i-appli and use the
navigation function.

Checking present location
You can check your location by positioning the
present location. You can use this function for
displaying a map from positioning location
information or changing the location information to
a URL and sending a mail with the URL pasted, etc.
Communication charges are not incurred when
you check the present location. However, packet
communication charges are incurred when you
display a map based on the location information.
