Never remove the airtight battery lock. The battery must not be replaced by a conventional battery
otherwise the electrical system will not work properly.
4.2.16.3 Removing the battery:
• First, disconnect the black cables from the battery.
• Loosen the red battery cable and disconnect.
• Loosen the rubber strap securing the battery.
• Take out the battery from the hull.
• Clean the battery and the battery poles. Remove tough deposits with a wire brush and then rinse the
battery with fresh water.
• Rinse thoroughly with clear water. Wipe the battery dry and smear the battery poles with water-resistant
grease.
