8. FUNCTIONS AND OPERATION
OPERATION:
The CO alarm is operational once the activation switch is slid to ON
position. The green LED will flash once every 30 seconds. The model CA6050 LCD
will also continuously display
LOW BATTERY CONDITION:

END-OF-LIFE CONDITION: The electrochemical sensor has a minimum five year life
expectancy. Once the battery is activated, a microcontroller monitors the total time that
the alarm is under power. After five years of service, the "End-of-Life" signal will be
activated; the alarm will chirp once per minute and the
seconds at the same time. The model CA6050 LCD will also continuously display
to indicate that the sensor life has expired and the alarm should be replaced. See
Section 14 for handling an End-of-Life alarm.
ALARM CONDITION: When the batteries are active, and CO gas is detected at a level
and duration specified in Section 3
