8.2.2 Clock connectors

There are several types of connectors that have been used for musical synchronization
purposes over the years. Here's a chart that indicates the best kinds to use when
connecting older devices to BeatStep Pro:
plus DIN sync adapter
You can use the supplied DIN sync adapters to connect to devices which utilize DIN sync
messages. Check the owner's manual for your device if you are not sure which sort of
sync capabilities it has.
If you use a TS jack connector the sequencer needs to be armed before it can start when
it receives a clock signal. You must press [Play] to arm the sequencer.
Ex :
PLAY with No clock received -> It will wait for a clock signal and start when it receives
one.
Clocks are received but PLAY is not active-> It will start when you press [Play]
If you use a TRS connector, BeatStep Pro will follow the master and play when it
receives a high state signal and clock, pause with a high state signal and no clock and
stop on a low state signal and no clock.
