system in which there may be
fuel leakage, there should be no
welding, smoking, open flames,
etc., in the area.
In-Line Fuel Filter
Arctic Cat recommends that the in-
line fuel filter be checked weekly.
! WARNING
The fuel hoses must fit tightly

MAINTENANCE
Gasoline Additives
Fuel de-icer can be used for all mod-
els. Also, periodic use of an injector
cleaner is recommended especially
in the last tank of gasoline before
storage. Arctic Cat Fuel Stabilizer
(p/n 0638-165) should also be added
to the last tank of gasoline before
storage.

CHECKING ENGINE OIL LEVEL

1. Park the snowmobile on a level
surface; then start the engine
and allow it to warm up for 10-
15 minutes, or if the snowmo-
bile was operated, allow the
engine to idle for approximately
30 seconds.
NOTE: The snowmobile must
be on a level surface for this pro-
cedure.
2. Shut the engine off; then
remove the oil level stick from
the oil reservoir. Wipe the stick
clean.
3. Insert the oil level stick into the
oil reservoir without threading
it in and remove. Read the oil
level shown on the stick. The
oil level should be near the mid-
dle of or on the high end of the
NORMAL range on the stick.
