Return the Optical Head to the Home position by pushing the Optical Head from the center of the instrument
all the way to the right side of the instrument (Figure 54).
10.
Pull the Microplate Sample Tray forward to the Home position.
11.
Reconnect the AC Power Adaptor to the instrument. Turn ON the instrument.
5.E. Cleaning the Instrument Interior
Accumulated residue from various luminescent substrates may inhibit proper movement of the Optical Head.
Failure to properly maintain a clean interior may cause a mechanical error and the irretrievable loss of data. We
recommend thoroughly cleaning the interior every 30 days.

Turn OFF the instrument

Use a Kimwipes
3.
Push the Microplate Sample Tray to the back of the instrument, exposing two steel guide rails upon which
the sample tray glides (Figure 54). Use a Kimwipes
rails.
4.
Push the Optical Head to the center of the instrument, exposing the black metal shelf on the right side of the
instrument (Figure 55).
5.
Clean the black shelf with a fresh Kimwipes
position for the optical head.
6.
Close the instrument door and turn the instrument ON. The instrument will then return to the Home
position and is ready to use.
