Troubleshooting Guide

Problem
No segments
appear in the weight
display (1)
The weight display
shows "H"
The weight display
shows "L" or "Err 54"
The weight display
briefly shows "Err 02"
The special code "b"
remains displayed
The weight readout
changes constantly
The scale cannot
be stabilized
The weight readout
is obviously wrong
Causes
– No AC power is available
– The AC adapter is not
plugged in
– The load exceeds the
capacity of the scale
– The load plate (3)
is not in place
– The display did not show
a zero readout when the
=/z key (14)
was pressed to calibrate
– The scale is loaded
– None of the keys has
been pressed since the
scale was turned on
– Unstable ambient conditions – Set up the scale
– Too much vibration, or the
scale is exposed to a draft
– There is a foreign object
between the load plate
and the scale housing
– The scale is not calibrated
– The scale was not tared
before weighing
– The air bubble of the
level indicator (8) is not
within the circle
Solution
– Check the AC power
supply
– Plug in the AC adapter
– Unload the scale
– Position the platform
– Press the =/z
key (14); then press the
=/z key again
and hold it until
the calibration weight
is displayed
– Unload the scale
– Press a key
in another area
– Access the menu to
select the correct code
for the weighing
environment (e.g. 1 1 4)
– Remove the foreign
object
– Calibrate the scale
(see page 1–36)
– Tare before weighing
– Level the scale
(see page 1–27)
