Portable Mode

Take the scanner in your hand. Present (or sweep) the scanner to
the bar code using the front scan window.

Targeted Handheld Scanning

1. Take the scanner in your hand and touch the top button with
the index finger to operate the single line functionality
2. Lift the reader and position the scan window over the prod-
uct to be scanned.

3. Center the single scan line on the bar code to maximize read-
ing capability. Small bar code labels should be moved closer
to the scan window, while larger labels need to be held at a
further distance.
4. To continue scanning in Targeted Handheld Mode, just keep
the top touch button pressed.
