    Introduction The Cobalto™ scanner (reader) delivers high performance in a small, fixed reader that can also be used as a targeted handheld scanner. Its innovative design maximizes productivity and mini- mizes operator stress, strain and fatigue. Operational Modes The scanner can easily adapt to either fixed/portable or targeted handheld scanning applications.

    Controls & Indicators Touch Button The touch button located on top of the head causes the scanner to enter Targeted Handheld Mode. In this mode, the reader scans bar codes with a single scan line. Releasing the touch button returns the scanner to the Fixed/ Portable Scanning Mode.

    Laser Safety International Caution Statements Class I English This scanner is certified in the U.S. to conform to the requirements of DHHS/CDRH 21CFR Sub- chapter J and to the requirements of IEC 60825-1:2007. Class I and Class IIa products are not considered to be hazardous. The scanner contains inter- nally a Visible Laser Diode (VLD) whose emissions do not exceed the maximum limits as set forth in the above regulations.
