to a completestop.Disconnectsparkplug wireand groundit against
the engineto preventunintendedstarting.Alwayswearsafetyglasses

Oil
Shutoff the engineand removethe ignition key beforeperforming
any maintenance. T opreventaccidentalstart-up,disconnectthe
sparkplug boot.
Periodicinspection a nd adjustmentof the engineisessentialif high
level performance is to be maintained.Regularmaintenancewill also
ensurea long servicelife.The requiredserviceintervals and the type
of maintenance to be performedare describedin the tableabove.
Followthe hourlyor calendarintervals, whicheveroccur first. More
frequentserviceis requiredwhenoperatingin adverseconditions.
Checkoil levelbeforeeachuse and every5 operatinghourswhenthe
engine iswarm.Referto Checkingand Adding Oil in theAssembly
Section.
Changethe oil after the first5 operatinghoursand every50 operating
hoursthereafter.Engineshouldstill be warm butNOT hotfrom recent
use.
