MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE

Beforeperforming any type of maintenance/servke,disengageall controls
andstop the engine.Wait until all moving parts havecometo a complete
stop. Disconnect s parkplug wire and ground it againstthe engine to
preventunintendedstarting.

Beforelubricating, repairing,or inspecting,disengageall controlsandstop

NOTE: C heck the oil levelbeforeeachuseto besurecorrect o il levelismaintained.
Whenaddingoil to the engine,referto viscosity chartbelow.Engine oil capacity
is600ml (approx. 2 0oz.).Donot over-fill.Usea4-stroke, o r anequivalent h igh
detergent, p remiumquality motoroil certifiedto meetor exceed U.S. a utomobile
manufacturer's r equirements f orservice classification SG, S EMotoroilsclassified
SG, S F will showthisdesignation on thecontainer.
1.
Remove t he oil filler cap/dipstkkandwipethe dipstickclean.
2.
Insertthe cap/dipstkkinto the oil filler neck,but do NOT screwit in.
3.
Remove t he oil filler cap/dipstick. I flevelislow,slowlyaddoil until oil level
registers betweenhigh(H)andlow (L).SeeFigure 17.
4.
Replace a ndtightencap/dipstick firmly beforestartingengine.
Changing EngineOil
NOTE: Change t he engineoil after the first 5 hours of operationandoncea season
or every50 hours thereafter.
1.
Drainfuel fromtank byrunningengineuntil the fueltank isempty.Besure
fuelfill capissecure.
2.
Place suitableoil collectioncontainer u nderoil drainplug.

Remove o il drainplug andwasher. S eeFigure 18on next page.

propercollection center.
Usedoii isa hazardouswaste product. Dispose o f usedoil properly. Donot
discardwith householdwaste. Check with your localauthorities or Sears
Service Centerfor safedisposal/recyclingfacilities.
5.
Reinstall the drainplugandwasher andtighten it securely.
