Control Cable
As a resultof both thecontrolcableand the auger drivebelt stretching
due to wear,periodicadjustmentsmay be necessary.If the auger
seemsto hesitatewhenrotating,proceedas follows:
Theupper hole in the controlhandle providesfor an adjustmentin
cabletension.Toadjust,disconnectthe end of controlcablefrom the
bottomholein the controlhandleand reinsertit in the upper hole.

Testthe snow throwerto seeif there is a noticeable difference.If
after theadjustmentto the controlcablethe augerstill hesitateswhen
rotating,see BeltReplacement f or instructionson replacingthebelt.
Chute Assembly
Referto the Assemblysectionfor instructions on adjustingthechute
assembly.
AUGER DRIVE BELT REPLACEMENT
1. Runthe snowthroweruntilthe fueltank isempty.
2. Pullthe recoilstarterhandleuntil resistanceisfelt.Thentip the
snowthrowerbackuntil itrestson thehandles.
3. Slidea boardup throughthe augerand throughthe chute to
securethe auger inplace.
4. Removethe beltcover by removingthe two hexwasherscrews
and one hexlock screwthat secureitto the frame.See Figure16.
