GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS
CheckingEngine Oil
Beforelubricating, repairing,or inspecting,disengageall controlsandstop
engine.Wait until all movingparts havecometo acompletestop.
NOTE: C heck the oil levelbeforeeachuseto besurecorrect o il levelismaintained.
Whenaddingoil to the engine,referto viscosity chartbelow.Engine oil capacity
is1100ml(approx.37oz.).Donot over-fill.Use a4-stroke,or anequivalent h igh
detergent, p remiumquality motoroil certifiedto meetor exceed U.S. a utomobile
manufacturer's r equirements f orservice classification SG, S F. M otoroilsclassified
SG, S F will showthisdesignation on thecontainer.
1. Remove t he oil filler cap/dipstkkandwipethe dipstickclean.
2. Insertthe cap/dipstkkinto the oil filler neck,but do NOT screwit in.
3. Remove t he oil filler cap/dipstick. I flevelis low,slowlyaddoil until oil level
registers betweenhigh(H)andlow (L).SeeFigure 20.
4. Replace a ndtighten cap/dipstick firmly beforestartingengine.
Changing EngineOil
NOTE: Change t he engineoil after the first 5 hours of operationandoncea season
or every50 hours thereafter.
1. Drainfuel fromtank byrunningengineuntil the fueltank isempty.Besure
fuelfill capissecure.
2. Place suitableoil collectioncontainer u nderoil drainplug.
3. Remove o il drainplug.SeeFigure 21on next page.

Usedoii isa hazardouswaste product. Dispose of usedoil properly. Donot
discardwith householdwaste. Checkwithyour localauthorities or Sears
Service Centerfor safedisposal/recyclingfacilities.
5. Reinstall the drainplugandtighten it securely.
