9. Install the right mower belt. Refer to
Replacing the Right Mower Deck Belt (page 42).
10. Install the belt covers onto the cutting unit and secure
the latches.

Replacing the Pump Drive Belt

1. Disengage the PTO and set the parking brake.
2. Stop the engine, remove the key, and wait for all moving
parts to stop before leaving the operating position.
3. Remove the mower deck belt from the clutch on
36in mower decks or remove the left mower belt
from the clutch for 40in mower decks. Refer to
Belt Maintenance (page 42).
4. Tilt the machine on it's back. Refer to
Raising the Mower for Access (page 26).
5. Unhook the idler spring from the frame (Figure 65).
6. Install the new belt around engine pump drive pulley
and the two pump pulleys.
7. Install the idler spring to the frame (Figure 65).

8. Lower the machine to the operating position. Refer to
Raising the Mower for Access (page 26).
9. Install the mower deck belt to the clutch on 36
inch mower decks or install the left mower belt
