5. Check the front-to-rear pitch of the cutting unit.
6. If the dimensions are not correct, adjust the front
and rear nuts on either side to get the correct
front-to-rear pitch (Figure 81).

Matching Height of Cut
1. Check the rear tire pressure.
2. Set the height-of-cut to the 3 inch (7.6 cm) position.
Refer to Adjusting the Height-Of-Cut in Operation.
3. With the machine on level surface, position one blade
front-to-rear. Measure at A and from level surface to
the cutting edge of the blade tips (Figure 82).

4. The measurement should be 3 inch (7.6 cm).
5. If it does not measure correctly, locate the
height-of-cut rod on the right side of the machine
(Figure 83).
6. Loosen the jam nut and adjust the adjustment
nut until the blade tips match 3 inches (7.6 cm)
(Figure 83).
7. When the adjustment is correct, tighten the jam nut
(Figure 83).
