Coolant Level (F5/1100
cc)
NOTE: Use a good quality, ethyl-
ene glycol-based, automotive-type
coolant.
NOTE: Always check the coolant
level with the engine cold.
F5
On the F5 if adding coolant, the console
must be removed. For removing/installing
the console, use the following procedure.
1. Remove the two torx-head screws
securing the console to the chassis;
then lift up the rearward end of the
console and disconnect the console
harness plug-in.
2. Remove the console.
3. Place the console into position on the
headlight support bracket; then con-
nect the console harness connector.
4. Secure the console to the chassis
with the two torx-head screws.
CAUTION
After operating the snowmobile for
the initial 5-10 minutes, stop the
engine, allow the engine to cool
down, and check the coolant level.
Add coolant as necessary.
1100 cc
NOTE: The hood must be removed
for this procedure.
Locate the FULL COLD mark on the
coolant reservoir (located in the forward
engine compartment below the hood
hinge bracket).
If the coolant is below the FULL COLD
mark, add coolant to the reservoir until at
the FULL COLD mark.
If the coolant is below the FULL
COLD mark and if coolant has been
added, immediately inspect for leak-
age and/or damage. If leakage or
damage is detected, take the snow-
mobile to an authorized Arctic Cat
Snowmobile dealer for service. If not
under warranty, this service is at the
discretion and expense of the snow-
mobile owner.
Adjusting/Calibrating
Carburetors (570 cc)
0743-777
The carburetors have been adjusted/cali-
brated at the factory for average riding
conditions; however, altitude, tempera-
ture, and general wear may necessitate
certain carburetor adjustments.
For information on altitude operation,
see Varying Altitude Operation sub-
section in the Operating Instructions
section.
Carburetor adjustments critically affect
engine performance; therefore, the fol-
lowing three external adjustments and
two internal calibrations can be made on
each carburetor.
Make sure to perform these adjust-
ment/calibration procedures on both
carburetors.
