This chapter introduces you to the basic features of your DVD camcorder.

You can record movie and photo images on various
storage media.
- Taking a photo image is possible on the built-in memory
and memory card. DVD discs do not support Photo mode.
- Refer to pages 32-34 for the supported memory cards
before purchasing them.
When recording movie images on a DVD disc
Select the proper disc for use.
Do you want to delete or edit movie images on the DVD camcorder?

Do you want to reuse the disc after formatting ?

• DVD+RW, DVD+R DL and DVD-R do not have Video or VR
mode selection.
• You can delete the movie image only on a DVD-RW disc (VR
