OPERATING
USING THE HEATER

Located on the right hand side of the heater you
will find the switches to operate the fire.
ON

The first switch 'A (as indicated in the diagram
above), switches on the fire and operates the
flame effect. If you only require the flame
effect with no heat, ensure switch 'B' is in the
top position and switch 'C' is in the top
position.
For 1kW setting
Switch (B) down to 1kW, leave 'C' set to top
position.
For 2kW setting
Leave 'B' set at 1kW and switch 'C' to 2kW.
Note: Switches 'B' and 'C' will not operate

TROUBLESHOOTING

No Heat or Light
• Check heater is plugged in and switched on at the
mains.
• Check the switches are correctly set.
• Check the 13A fuse in the plug. Replace if
necessary.
Heat but no Light in Coal Bed
• Replace light bulb - see instructions overleaf.
Light but no Heat
• The thermostatic cut-out has operated. This will
re-set after a short period of time.
• Ensure the air supply and venting are not
restricted.
• If still blowing cold air, unplug the heater and
phone our helpline.
No Flame-effect
• Unplug the heater and phone our helpline.
Bulbs do not last very long
• If the bulbs keep blowing there is not a fault with
the fire. It is not possible to predict the life of a
lamp, some burn out more quickly than others.
Noise from the fans
• Unfortunately there is always some noise from the
fans, we have done our utmost to reduce this but
they will never be completely silent.
