    BasX PT-100 Stereo Preamp / DAC / Tuner Features The BasX PT-100 is a high performance stereo preamplifier that includes an internal stereo FM tuner, inputs for two line level analog sources, a built-in DAC with plenty of digital inputs for all your digital audio sources, a phono preamp that supports both moving magnet and moving coil cartridges, and an input for an optional AptX Bluetooth module.

    Unpacking Your BasX Preamp / DAC / Tuner was carefully packed and should reach you in perfect condition. If you notice any shipping damage or other issues when you unpack it, please contact Emotiva immediately. Gently remove your PT-100 from the packing carton and remove all wrappings and shipping material.

    BasX PT-100 Stereo Preamp / DAC / Tuner 5. Subwoofer Outputs These outputs are provided to allow you to connect one or two powered subwoofers to your BasX PT-100. Both of these outputs deliver the same line level signal, which is the sum of the two audio channels on the PT-100 (monaural summed signal).

    (The USB input on the PT-100 supports “USB Audio Class 1”.) Note: The digital inputs on the BasX PT-100 accept STEREO digital audio signals. They do not accept digitally encoded surround sound like DTS or Dolby Digital. Some digital sources may need to be specifically configured to output a STEREO signal.

Pre-emphasis and de-emphasis are applied to the FM audio signal to reduce noise. There are two standards, and you will get the most accurate sound reproduction if you pick the correct one for your area.

    BasX PT-100 Stereo Preamp / DAC / Tuner Connections Connecting a power amplifier to your PT-100 Because your PT-100 is a preamp, DAC, and tuner, you will probably be connecting it to a separate power amplifier. Connect the Left and Right Main Outputs on the PT-100 to the unbalanced inputs on your power amplifier using good quality audio interconnects.

    BasX PT-100 Stereo Preamp / DAC / Tuner Care and Maintenance Periodic Maintenance Your BasX PT-100 requires no periodic maintenance or calibration. Cleaning your PT-100 • If necessary, the PT-100 should be cleaned gently with a soft rag. • If something sticky gets on the front panel or case of the PT-100, it should be cleaned with a mild cleaning solution applied to a soft rag, followed by wiping with a clean rag dampened with plain water and drying with a soft dry rag or cloth.
