Updating the camera firmware

The firmware versions of the camera module and the recording module must match to operate this system.
If they do not match, update the firmware before using the camera. Firmware of the camera module can be updated only when the recording module is
connected.

Updating the firmware

To update the firmware, an SD memory card is required.
Use the camera or P2 Viewer Plus to format the SD memory card.

Download the firmware from the website.

Save the downloaded firmware to an SD memory card.

Insert the SD memory card containing the firmware into the SD memory card slot of the recording module.

Turn the power on.

Press the <INFO> button to display the INFO screen. (Fig. 1)

Select [VERSION].

Press the jog dial button.

When [UPDATE] appears, select [UPDATE] → [OK].
This starts the firmware update. Do not turn the power off until the update is completed.

NOTE
t The time required for update is approximately 60 minutes. It is necessary to supply power without interruption during the update. Use the external DC
power supply instead of battery.
t Do not remove the SD memory card during the update (while the card access LED is flashing). The communication with the camera may be
discontinued, which may cause malfunction to the camera.
t Disconnect the connection cable of the viewfinder when updating the camera module and the recording module.
