Requirements for Using

Read This First
1. An overlay may consist of more than one component file.
2. When the hard disk drive is installed, you must use the
Shutdown Menu before turning OFF the printer.
3. If your software application has a collate print option, you must
turn it OFF before you print overlays.
4. You cannot use overlays with the:
• Windows 2000 PostScript driver
• Macintosh driver
5. The message DISK FULL appears if there isn't enough
memory for the data.
Hardware / Software Requirements
• the Storage Device Manager software must be installed.
• printer internal hard disk drive (Installation is highly recom-
mended)
Required Actions
Before overlays can be printed, they must be
• created in a software application
• saved as a print file
• downloaded to storage
