Always place the soldering tool in the
safety rest while not in use.
Thank you for placing your trust in our company by purcha-
sing the Weller Mirco soldering WMP. Production was based
on stringent quality requirements which guarantee the per-
fect operation of the device.

1. Caution!

Please read these Operating Instructions and the attached
Safety Information carefully prior to initial operation. Failure
to observe the safety regulations results in a risk to life and
limb.
The manufacturer shall not be liable for damage resulting
from misuse of the machine or unauthorised alterations.
Safety Informations
● Always place the soldering iron in the original holder.
● Remove all inflammable objects from the proximity of the
hot soldering tool.
● Use suitable protective clothing. Risk of burns from liquid
solder.
● Never leave the hot soldering iron unsupervised.
● Never work on voltage-carrying parts.
2. Description
The Weller Micro soldering iron WMP is suitable for proces-
sing professional SMD electronics thanks to its easy-to-use
concept. The short distance between the handle and solde-
ring tip allows ergonomic handling of the soldering iron
when performing precision soldering tasks. A high-end sen-
sor and heat transfer technology ensures precise tempera-
ture control regulation at the soldering tip. Thanks to easy
tip replacement and the extremely quick heating-up time,
various types of soldering tip in can be employed in the
working process.
Using an integrated equipotential bonding conductor, you
can make an equipotential bonding to the soldering tip. With
its antistatic handle and power cord design, the soldering
iron meets all the requirements stipulated by ESD Safety.

3. Putting into operation
Place the soldering iron in the safety tray. Move all
flammable objects away from the soldering tool.
Connect the connecting plug (4) to the supply unit and lock
it. Set the desired temperature at the supply unit. After
required heating-up time has elapsed, wet the soldering tip
with a small amount of solder.

4. Equipotential bonding

If desired, you can make an equipotential bonding to the
soldering tip through the supply unit. The possibilities for
connecting an equipotential bonding are described the
instructions for operation of the supply unit.
5. Working instructions
Tip replacement
Straight soldering tip
– Cool down soldering iron
– Hold soldering iron horizontally.
– Insert hexagon tool for tip replacement over the heating
element and into the handle as far as it will go.
– Unscrew the soldering tip and pull it off forwards.
Bent soldering tips and SMT soldering tips
Unscrew the soldering tip using the heat resistant silicon
pad and pull it off forwards. Hold the silicon pad in your
hand in such a way that direct contact with the soldering tip
is avoided.
1.
2.
Avoid touching the hot soldering tip and the
heating element since this can cause severe
burns.
In the case of soldering work with very low heat requirement,
the reliability of the Setback function may be impaired.
