CLEANING THE COFFEE MAKER

1. Unplug the appliance from the electrical supply before cleaning.
2. Wait for the whole appliance to cool down.
3. External surfaces should be cleaned with a soft damp cloth with mild soap. Then wipe dry.
4. The carafe can be cleaned with warm water and some washing liquid. Do not clean the
carafe in a dishwasher.
DESCALING
To make sure that your coffee maker is always producing perfect coffee, you will need to descale
it from time to time. The frequency will depend on how hard is the water in your area and how
often you use the coffee maker. If you use your coffee maker once or twice a day, the following
guidelines for descaling should be used:
• Soft water: every 6 months.
• Medium water: every 2-3 months.
• Hard water: every 6-8 weeks.
