INSTRUCTION MANUAL
Fitting the parallel guide
Fit the parallel guide (9) by inserting the shafts
into the holes on the base and tighten the
butterfly nuts (8) when the
required position is achieved.
If cutting circles, fit the centering pin to one of
the parallel guide shafts (see bottom illustration).
Adjusting router depth
Loosen the adjustment screw (7) for the depth
stop (6), and loosen the lock knob (4).
Push the router down until the cutter is in contact
with the item and tighten the lock knob.
Set the depth stop to the required depth and
tighten the adjustment screw.
Loosen the lock knob and lift the router again.
Use
Fit the cutter and parallel guide if required and
position the router's base on the item at the place
where routing is to begin.
Switch on using the on/off button (13) and allow
to reach full speed before applying the cutter to
the item using the handles (5).
Lock the router in its lowered position using the
lock knob.
Move the router using gentle, even movements
and always hold both handles tightly while
working.
Always switch the motor off before adjusting
router speed at the speed selector (2). We
recommend using lower speed for large cutters
ENGLISH
and high speeds for small. Experiment until you
find the best speed for the job. If possible, make a
test cut on a piece of scrap wood before using the
router on the item.
Avoid covering the ventilation slots (1), as this can
cause the motor to overheat.
When finished cutting, loosen the lock knob and
remove the router. Switch off using the on/off
switch and wait until it has come to a complete
stop before putting it down.
Routing using the parallel guide and centering pin
·
If using the parallel guide, it must be adjusted
to ensure the cutter maintains the required
distance from the edge of the item. The
parallel guide is applied to the edge of the
item.
·
If the centering pin is to be used, adjust the
parallel guide to ensure that the cutter
maintains the required radius from the centre
of the circle. Anchor the centering pin in the
centre of the circle (if required, drill a hole)
and move the router in a smooth circular
movement.

Cleaning and maintenance

The router can be cleaned by wiping its exterior
parts with a damp cloth. Dust and chips can be

the ventilation slots are kept free of dust and dirt.
