Pairing/Unpairing the Handset

All handsets must be paired to a base station. You must perform this from both the telephone base station and the cord-
less handset. Successful pairing adds the handset name to the handset list on the base station and synchronizes the hand-
set list from the base to the newly paired handset. A total of four handsets can be paired to a single base station.
Unpairing of the Handset can be done from either the cordless Handset OR the base station. However, if the Handset is
out of range, and you perform unpairing from just the Handset OR just the base station, the device that you performed
unpairing on is unpaired, but the other device remains paired. If communication between the base station and the Hand-
set is lost, you must perform unpairing on the other device as well.
Note:
When performing the handset pairing or unpairing, it is recommended that the handset be within 3 feet of the base
station.
Pairing the Handset to the Base Station
Base Station & Handset UI
1. On the base station, press
2. Select Preferences->Handset Pairing.
3. Choose Pair and press Select.
The following displays on the handset.
Note:
If the Handset is not paired, the base station softkey displays as Pair instead of Remove.
On the Handset, press Â.

Note:
If the Handset has already been paired, the softkey is labelled as Remove instead of Pair.
Ensure the Handset being paired is within close proximity to the base station. It is recommended that the Handset
be within 3 feet from the base station during pairing.
Note:
It is recommended that you execute the following steps 6 and 7 at the same time.
