The setting procedure for the IP address is provided in POD Administra-
tor's Reference.
To specify the IP address of the PC to be used for Remote Panel function,
see POD Administrator's Reference.
The operation panel lock setting can be limited to the unavailability of
control panel keys only. This setting is available in the Web Utilities func-
tion. For details, see POD Administrator's Reference.
When using Multi Monitor, the IP address of all the machines to be mon-
itored should be specified. This setting is available in the Web Utilities
function. For details, see POD Administrator's Reference.

13.9.1 Controlling Copier from Browser: Remote Panel

Prerequisites
0 Set the Security Strengthen mode OFF on the machine.
0 The machine should be connected with a PC over a network with TCP/IP
enabled.
0 Specify the IP address of the machine.
0 Specify the IP address of the PC to be used for Remote Panel function,
using Web Utilities setting on a PC.
0 One of the following browsers is required on the PC. No other hardware
or application software is necessary.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.02 or higher
Netscape Navigator 7.1 or higher
FireFox 1.0 or higher
0 JavaScript must be active.
0 The popup menu such as paper misfeed prompt will not be updated au-
tomatically when using Remote Panel. After a long period of inactivity,
click [Reload] at the upper corner of the screen to display the current sta-
tus.

Start the web browser, then enter the IP address of the main body in
the address bar.
The Web Utilities screen will be displayed.
