4 Pipe and ventilation connections

General pipe connections

Pipe installation must be carried out in accordance with
current norms and directives.
The system requires a low-temperature design of the
radiator circuit. At lowest dimensioned outdoor tem-
perature (DUT) the highest recommended temperat-
ures are 55 °C on the flow line and 45 °C on the return
line.
NOTE
The pipe system needs to be flushed out be-
fore the heat pump is connected so that any
debris cannot damage component parts.
NOTE
This installation is subject to building regula-
tion approval, notify the local Authority of in-
tention to install.
NOTE
Use only manufacturer's recommended re-
placement parts.
Waste water from the collection tray at the evaporator
and from the safety valve is led by a non-pressurised
overflow pipe to the drain so that hot water cannot
cause damage. Likewise should the discharge pipes

Hard water areas
Usually, there should not be a problem in installing
F370 in areas of hard water as the operating temperat-
ure is 50-60 °C.
Cleaning the climate system
When the water heater and the climate system have
been filled with water, F370 must operate at maximum

(tundishes), drain valves and motorised valves be posi-
tioned clearly away from any electrical components.
This is the only thing the non-pressurised overflow pipe
may be used for. Even overflow pipes from tundish
connected to the expansion relief valve must be con-
nected to the drain in the same way.
Please note that the connection of the T&P-valve should
not be used for any other purpose.
Valves may not be positioned between the expansion
valve and the vessel.
Discharge pipes from tundishes shall have av vertical
section of pipe at least 300 mm long, before any elbows
or bends in the pipework (see following picture).

the system must be drained of water and refilled. See
section Service actions on page 50.
Before installing the heat pump in an existing system,
it is important that the system is properly flushed
through.
Even if the heat pump is to be installed in a new system,
the heat pump and system should be flushed.
