Using the Sample Batch Programs

Three sample batch programs are provided so you can set or
change one or all operational features using one command:
• DEFAULT
This program sets all the operational features to the default
values. The default values are the same values as set in the
factory.
• TRAVEL
This program sets all the operational features related to the power
supply by the rechargeable battery to the values that make the
battery life as lengthy as possible.
• PRINTCOM
This program turns off and on the parallel, serial, and
communication interface connectors at the same time.
Installing the Sample Batch Programs
1. Insert the backup copy of the Reference Diskette.
2. Install a sample batch program using the copy command peculiar
to the operating system, DOS or OS/2.
Note:
Both DOS and OS/2 versions are provided for each
sample batch program. .BAT of a filename identifies a DOS
version (for example, DEFAULT.BAT) while .CMD of a filename
identifies a OS/2 version (for example, DEFAULT.CMD).
Usage Note:
1. When you use the TRAVEL command, ensure that the economy
switch is set to A to conserve battery power.
2. The format of the PRINTCOM command is PRINTCOM OFF or
PRINTCOM ON.
3. You can copy and modify any of the sample batch programs to
make a new batch program tailored to meet your system
configuration or preference.
