Important

The rechargeable battery is not charged at the time of shipment.

Therefore, a FIRST CHARGE is necessary for operating the

computer with the rechargeable battery.

To charge:

Leave the AC adapter connected. The battery charges if the

computer is turned on or off. It takes approximately 10 hours to

charge the battery if the computer is turned on or off.

If you have the battery quick charger, use it to minimize the

charging time.

This completes the setup of your computer.

You can set a power-on password for your security. Refer to "Setting

Passwords" on page 49.
