The AC Adapter

Warning: The AC adapter is for use only with the Model L40 SX. Do
not connect it to any other device. Do not use any AC adapter with
the Model L40 SX, other than those authorized by IBM.
The AC adapter enables the Model L40 SX to operate under
standard ac power at frequencies of 50 to 60 Hz and voltages of:
Low range: 100-125 V ac (nominal)
High range: 200-240 V ac (nominal)
Using the AC Adapter
To use the AC adapter, follow the instructions below.
Plug the AC adapter into the computer . Plug the power cord into

the AC adapter

; plug the other end into a properly grounded
electrical outlet .
Note:
If the AC adapter is connected, you can operate the computer even with the
rechargeable battery removed. However, if you want to use the AC adapter during
Suspend Mode, connect the AC adapter without removing the rechargeable battery.
