Activating BMW Night Vision
1.
Turn the light switch to switch position 2
or 3, see page 93.
2.
When the low-beam headlights are
switched on:
>
Press the
button.
>
Press the
button on the steering
wheel.
Programming the button on the steering
wheel, see page 50.
The image captured by the camera appears on
the control display. Remember that this image
is not the same as a video picture.
Due to the system's operating principle, a still
image is intermittently displayed for a fraction of
a second.
For safety reasons, the image will only be dis-
played at a speed of more than approx. 5 km/h,
approx. 3 mph, and low surrounding brightness
if the low-beam headlights are switched on.
BMW Night Vision is not available for the
rear screen. If the system is active, the
navigation system and BMW Assist cannot be
called up on the rear
screen.<

Adjusting settings

1.
Activate BMW Night Vision.
2.
Press the controller to display the menu
items.
3.
Select a menu item and press the controller:
>
"Zoom":
The image can be enlarged at and above
a speed of approx. 70 km/h, approx.
45 mph.
>
"Cornering mode":
The range scanned by the camera fol-
lows the line of the road to a certain
extent, on the basis of steering angle
and other parameters.
>
"Full screen":
The image fills the whole control display.
>
"Contrast":
The screen's contrast can be adjusted,
see page 183.
>
"Brightness":
The screen's brightness can be
adjusted, see page 183.
The settings are saved for the remote control
currently in use.
To exit the menu:
Select the
arrow and press the controller or
wait for a few moments.
