Destination input

You can choose from the following options for
entering a destination:
> Entering a destination manually, see below.
> Selecting the destination from a map, see
page 136.
> Selecting the destination via information,
see page 137.
> Selecting a recently used destination, see
page 139.
> Selecting a destination from the address
book, see page 141.
> Selecting home address, see page 143.
Once you have selected a destination, you are
ready to start route guidance, see page 146.
Only enter data when the car is standing
still, and always obey the traffic regula-
tions and road signs in the event of any contra-
diction between the traffic situation and the
instructions given by the navigation system.
The car's occupants and other road users could
otherwise be put at risk.<

1. Press the button to call up the start
menu.
2. Move the controller towards "Navigation".
Entering a destination
manually
The wordmatch principle makes the input of
place-names or streets easier. This principle
enables you to enter alternative spellings and
automatically completes a name that has been
recognised beyond doubt, see page 145.

1. Select "Dest. input" and press the control-
ler.
2. Select "New dest. " and press the control-
ler.
3. Select "ABC... " and press the controller.
The system in addition supports you with the
following special features:
> If you do not enter a street name, you will be
guided to the boundary of the town or city.
> Depending on the data stored on your navi-
gation CD/DVD, you may also be able to
enter a house number for certain streets.
> You can skip input of the country, town or
city if you wish to retain previous inputs.
