Rackmount installation - preparations

NOTE
Please consider the weight of the UPS prior to installation to ensure the rack is capable of supporting
the weight. We recommend that the UPS is placed in the lower half of the rack. Fit the unit into the
rack cabinet with the help of a second person.
1. Place the UPS horizontally on a table or desk.
2. Install the two mounting brackets that came
with the unit using the screws provided.
* The following two steps (3 and 4) must be
performed by qualified, skilled and service
personnel only.
3. * Connect the DC connector of the internal
batteries.
4. * Assemble the front panel: insert the two metal
clamps at the rear of the panel into the holes
at the right side of the UPS, then click the front
panel into position.
Fix the front panel with the screw provided.
5. Install the UPS into a 19' rack. The UPS cabinet
must be supported by mounting rails, do not
mount it by using the mounting brackets only.
Fix the mounting brackets on the 19 inch
enclosure with screws.
The VH Series UPS is now ready for further
connections: proceed with section 3.4.
