Before operation
Unpack the unit. Remove all stickers from
the upper and front part of the unit.
Attention! Do not remove stickers, con-
cerning safety, on the rear panel of the
unit!
Press the OPEN /CLOSE button and re-
move the protective insert before starting
to operate.

POWER CONNECTION

Line supply
Before connecting the unit, make sure that
your home electricity supply corresponds
to the voltage specified on the unit.
1. To connect the unit insert the power plug
to the (24) jack. Set the operating modes
switch (5) to the desired position.
2. To switch off the unit, disconnect the
power cord from the power socket.
Note: Static electricity can lead to interfer-
ences in the operation of the unit. In this
case disconnect the unit, and then connect
it again. If the problem does not disappear,
apply to the service center.
Battery supply
1. Disconnect the unit.
2. Open the battery compartment lid.
3. Insert 6 batteries UM-2/R 14/ C (not
supplied) in the battery compartment
following the polarity.
4. Close the battery compartment lid.
Attention! Battery leakage can lead to
injuries and damages of the unit. To avoid
damages of batteries follow the instruc-
tions below:
- Place the batteries properly, following the
polarity according to the marks on the
unit.
- Do not use different batteries together
(old and new, different types etc.).
- take the batteries out if you are not going
to use the unit for a long time.

BASIC FUNCTIONS

• Select the operating mode using the
switch (5): MP3/CD, AUX, RADIO.
• To select the desired volume level, use
the volume control (3) – VOL+.
• To switch on the unit, press the (2) POW-
ER button
Note: When the unit is in the standby mode,
it still consumes energy, to switch off the
unit completely, take the power cord out of
the socket and remove the batteries from
the battery compartment.
Radio stations reception
1. Set the operating modes switch to the
RADIO position.
2. Select the desired band: FM, AM or FM
ST (FM stereo), set the band switch to
the corresponding position.
When tuning to the station, transmitting
a stereo signal, the FM ST indicator will
light up
3. Select the desired radio station by turn-
ing the TUNING knob.
4. For better reception in the FM band, ex-
tend the antenna completely and posi-
tion it at the desired angle. For reception
in AM band the cassette recorder has a
built-in antenna, for better reception in
AM band, try several variants of the cas-
sette recorder location.
5. After you finish listening to the radio
press the POWER button or select an-
other operating mode.
BASS button
For low frequency amplification press the
BASS button, the corresponding indication
will light up. To switch off low frequency
amplification press this button once again,
the indication will go out.
Playback of CD/MP3 discs
The unit can playback discs of the follow-
ing types: Audio CD, MP3, CD-R, CD-RW. It
does not playback the following discs CD-
