D Monitor switch action "Sq"
The monitor switch action temporarily cuts off the squelch
function. This switch action contains PUSH (Pu) or HOLD
(Ho) settings as shown below.
• Pu (PUSH) : The Monitor function is activated by holding
down [SQL] for 1 second. The squelch opens
while holding down the key.
• Ho (HOLD) : The Monitor function is activated by holding
down [SQL] for 1 second. The squelch stays
open until any key is pushed.

D Automatic backlighting "bL"
This function is convenient for nighttime operation. The au-
tomatic backlighting can be adjusted from OFF, 1 (dark)–3
(bright), 3 (default). Select 1 to 3 to turn ON this function.
