9. Use and maintenance

9.1. Noises

Norcool corner fridges are quiet compared to similar products on the market, but some noise can be expected.
• Humming from the compressor. Can increase when the motor starts up.
• Gurgling can occur from coolant in the pipes
• Humming when the light comes on when door is opened.
• Creaking from elements initially after installation
• Humming from the circulation fans

9.2. Cleaning and maintenance

Look up for the rotating fan behind a cover in the upper part of the back wall. To switch off the fridge (compressor), turn the thermostat
counterclockwise, until you hear a click. To avoid mould forming, bad smells etc, regular cleaning is essential. For cleaning the corner
fridge, we recommend mild, warm soapy water. Clean the collection channel and drain on the cooling wall at least four times per year
or as required, such that defrosted water can run out unobstructed and evaporate.. Make sure that cleaning water does not run down
into the evaporation bowl.
Do not wash door boxes in the dishwasher, as they can deform. Avoid using detergents with lemon additive, as they can cause crack-
ing and discolouring inside.
9.3. Replacing light tubes and starters (See fig. 10)
Remove glass shelves that block the light screen. 1) Remove the two screws that the screen is fastened with. 2) Press down the upper
part on the screen. 3) Flip the screen out. 4) The fluorescent lamp is pulled out from the pen clip, please note that the clamps and wires
comes out as well. 5) Remove the screen, replace the light and put the screen back and push the light into the tension clip again and
make sure wires are free. 6) It is recommended that the igniter is also replaced when replacing the lamp. Specifications of fluorescent,
F30W/133 Cool White, diameter Ø26 mm. Specifications of teeth is, Electronic Tube Saver Rapid, 4-85 W Single.

9.4. Troubleshooting and service

In the event of possible service, remove glass shelves, disconnect from mains and remove back wall by unscrewing the five plas-
tic screws. Extract back wall through door opening.
If too much condensation water accumulates, it will not run out onto the kitchen floor, as an extra drip pan will collect it.
