6. Installation in floor to ceiling kitchen
When installing a corner fridge in a floor to ceiling kitchen, an extra air grille and air conduit must
be fitted to ensure sufficient air circulation above and below.
Necessities for floor to ceiling kitchens:
a. if furniture front is floor to ceiling, insert an air grille in the part of the door panel which projects
above the fridge door.
b. if the furniture front is 1950mm and there is a blind area above the door, insert an air grille there.
Install corner fridge as described in chap. 1. Place air conduit on corner fridge ceiling.
Integrate corner fridge as described in chap. 3. Cut hole in front panel above door and in plinth for
installing air grilles.
7. Preparing corner fridge (for all models)
1. Preparation: Remove all protective film on all other elements and insert plastic plugs supplied
into all open holes and bushings.
2. Positioning shelves. Position wire shelves/baskets at desired height (same height both sides),
in side wall shelf rests. Insert wire basket such that the glass shelf rest (flat iron) faces the
centre of the fridge. Remember difference between right and left shelves. Wire shelves must be
fixed into holes in fridge walls (for centring) using white plastic plugs. Seal remaining wire shelf
holes with white sealing plugs. Place 2 anti-slip pads (silicon pads) per triangular shelf approx.
7 cm from each side wall edge on the glass shelf rest (flat iron) on which the glass shelves will
rest. If glass shelves are required, place 4 anti-slip pads per triangular shelf. Place shelf boxes in
shelf rests on door.
3. Glass shelves. Fit white front profile on all glass shelves and place on shelf rests in fridge.
NB! Exercise caution when removing glass shelf for cleaning. Do not lift shelf by profile, as
this is loose! Recommended shelf position (from top) for best utilisation: shelf rest 1, split glass
shelf; rest 2 full glass shelf; rest 4, split glass shelf; rest 6 baskets, rest 8 full glass shelf.
Leave the corner fridge inactive after installation for approx. 2 hours before connecting to the
mains electricity. This will allow the oil to settle in the compressor after transport and installation.
When a corner fridge is started, it takes approx. 24 hours for the contents to reach a temperature
of approx. 5°C. To measure temperature, place a thermometer in a glass of water in the fridge.
This is to simulate the temperature of the food inside. If kept very full or the door is opened and
closed frequently, or the ambient temperature is high, compressor running time will increase and
it will take longer to reach the temperature set. Keep the door closed as much as possible at all
times.

Cleaning and maintenance

Noise
Norcool corner fridges are quiet compared to similar products on the market, but some noise
can be expected.
• Humming from the compressor. Can increase when the motor cuts in.
• Bubbling or gurgling can occur from coolant in the pipes.
• Humming when the light comes on when door is opened.
• Creaking from elements initially after installation.
