    Initial Preparations Prepareforprintingasfollows.ThisexampleshowsaPostcard-sizeColorInk/PaperSet(sold separately),butthesamestepsarefollowedforothersizes. Preparing the Ink Cassette Check the ink cassette and ink sheet. Holdingtheinkcassettewithouttouchingtheinksheet,check thesize(suchas“PostcardSize”or“CardSize”)tomake sureitmatchesthesizeofpaperyouwillprinton. Makesuretheinksheetistaut.Looseinksheetsmaytear whenloaded.Ifthesheetisloose,turnthesprocketas Ink sheet shown. Foraninkcassettethathasalockonthebottom,pressthe lock(asshown)toreleaseitasyouturnthesprockettomake thesheettaut. • Donotholdtheinkcassettewithwethands.Avoidtouchingtheinksheet,andavoid gettingdustonit.Dirtormoisturemaycausebandingoraffectprintquality,tearink sheetsandpreventprinting,ordamagetheprinter. • Whenturningthesprocket,turnitgently,onlyuntilthesheetistaut.Forcingthe sprocketorovertighteningitmaytearinksheetsandpreventprinting,orSELPHYmay runoutofinkbeforepaper. • Neverreuseinkcassettes,whichmaydamagetheprinterorcausemalfunction.     Initial Preparations When making postcard prints with space for a stamp, load thepaperwiththestampareafacingasshown. Close the inner cover. Closetheinnercoverfirmlyuntilitclicksintoplace. Leavetheoutercoveropenwhenprinting. • This product is designed to achieve excellent performance when used with genuine CanonColorInk/PaperSetsforSELPHYCPprinters.Canonshallnotbeliableforany damagetothisproductcausedbytheuseofnon-genuineCanonColorInk/PaperSets forSELPHYCPprinters. • Neverdothefollowing.Thismaydamagetheprinterorcausemalfunction.     Initial Preparations Load the paper cassette. Making sure the outer cover is open, insert the paper cassetteallthewayintothecompartment. Connecting the Power Plug the adapter cord into SELPHY. InserttheadapterplugfullyintothepowerinletonSELPHY. Connect the power cord. Connect the power cord to the compact power adapter, and thenplugtheotherendintoapoweroutlet.

    Printing from a Computer Use the camera to print. Usethecameratoselectimagesandprint. Onceprintingbegins,thescreenontheleftisdisplayed. Donotdisconnectthedeviceswhilethisscreenisdisplayed. Imagesmaynotbeprintedcorrectlyorcompletely. Thestandbyscreenontheleftisdisplayedwhenthecamera isnolongerconnected. Subsequent Printing • Onceyouhavecompletedtheconnectionsettings,thesecondstandbyscreeninstep3is displayedautomaticallywhenyouturnontheprinter.Toprint,afterthestandbyscreenis displayed,simplyusethecameraasdescribedinsteps2–3. • Duringstandby-screendisplay,youcanviewtheSSIDandpasswordbypressingthe<o> button. Printing from a Computer WhatYouWillNeed USBcable,2.5m(8.2ft.)orshorter,soldseparately(SELPHYport:Mini-B) Confirming Access Point Compatibility • Thecomputerwiththeimagestosendmustbeconnectedtotheaccesspoint.Theaccess pointmustsupportIEEE802.11b/gconnections.

    Printing from a Computer Connecting the Printer to the Access Point FollowthesestepstoconnecttoaWPS(push-button)compatibleaccesspoint.Fornon-WPS access points, refer to the PDF manual (=  2 ). Choose the connection method. Followsteps2–4in“PrintingDirectlyfromaSmartphoneor Tablet”toaccessthescreenontheleft. Press the <u><d>buttonstoselect[ViaWi-FiNetwork], and then press the <o>button. Choose the access point connection method. Press the <u><d>buttonstoselect[WPSConnection],and then press the <o>button.

Selectyourcountry/regionandfollowtheinstructionsdisplayedtocompletethedownload. Double-clickthedownloadedfileandfollowtheon-screeninstructions. Ifthe[UserAccountControl]windowisdisplayed,followtheon-screeninstructions. Install. Choose the connection method. When[ConnectionMethod]isdisplayed,select[Usewithawirelessnetwork]andclick [Next].
