REPLACEMENT
WARNING:
This operation must be carried out
by one person only, l.e. the person in
charge of the machine.
It is this person who must have the
guard lock key and the special barrel
spanner to remove the disk blade.
This person is also responsible for
remounting the guard once the blade
has been replaced.
To replace the disk blade, closely fol-
low the instructions given below:
– Turn the machine OFF using the I1
switch.
– Remove lock (2) from the link
unlocking device (3) and fit it to
switch (l1). The switch must remain
padlocked until the operation has
been completed.
– Pull the knob (4), lift the connecting
rod (5) and turn the mobile part (6)
of the guard (7) back.
– Loosen the screw TCEI (8) by tur-
ning it counterclockwise using the
14' tubular wrench supplied with the
machine. Loosen and remove the
screw, the flange (9) and the blade
(10).
– Replace the blade. Make sure that
that the teeth are turned in the
direction of the arrow printed on the
guard (7). Mount the flange (9).
Tighten the screws (8).
– Turn the mobile part forward (6)
and reposition the connecting rod
by hooking it onto the knob (4).
– Padlock (2) the connecting rod
unlocking device. The key must be
given to the foreman.
– Make sure that the barrel spanner
used to remove the blade does not
remain on the machine.
– In case the blade pitch has been
changed, remove the screw (11)
and open the door (12) granting
access to the blade-cleaning roller
(13).
Adjust the blade-cleaning roller
using the procedure previously
outlined or replace it with an ade-
quate roller which can be requested
to Pedrazzoli.
Close the door and lock it using the
screw (11).
